For the last 16 months I have been working as the Community-based Response Network Coordinator at VSAC. Wow, it’s been really such a full and sometimes overwhelming experience. I’ve learned more than I could have imagined about building partnerships and community accountability.
Working with people from many different organizations, with different educational, professional and personal backgrounds has been an honour – what a window into the operations of other community organizations working towards social change in Victoria!
I’ve moved down the hall to the Resource Development and Communications Coordinator position. While I am sad to leave the Network position, I know it will be in good hands with whomever we hire. Mostly I am excited to be a permanent member of the VSAC team and be joined by dedicated team members, committed to realizing the dream of communities without violence.
I am looking forward to supporting VSAC, with your help, to continue to do the amazing work we do, the services we provide and to help foster more innovative projects that prevent or respond to sexualized violence.
